Making Strides at the Swoop Loop!

Prattville High School's boys cross country team had an impressive showing at the Swoop Loop in Montgomery, securing second place overall in the boys varsity division. The standout performance came from Kayden Thomas, who finished first, while teammate Antonio Rowland followed closely behind, taking second place. The girls varsity team also demonstrated strong capabilities, with Nimue Craig finishing third and Lily Downey in sixth place, contributing to a successful day for the Lions.

In the boys junior varsity division, Colten Burrow placed fifth, with Cooper Eastman finishing ninth and Daniel Greer rounding out the top ten in tenth place. Several runners achieved personal bests in the two-mile race, showcasing their dedication and training efforts. Notable times included Antonio Rowland at 11:37, Lily Downey at 14:56, and Colten Burrow at 13:25. The Lions’ strong performances at the Swoop Loop reflect their continued improvement as the season progresses under the guidance of Coach Caitlin Campbell. The team looks forward to building on this success at Oak Mountain next Saturday, September 19.
